UCEED Cut-off Marks (Reference: 2026)

The cut-off below reflects the Part-A marks required for shortlisting (based on UCEED 2026 data). Part-B answer booklets are evaluated only for shortlisted candidates. Cut-offs for UCEED 2027 will be published after the exam.

OBC66.92
PwD37.18

  • If more than 6,400 candidates clear this measure, only the top 6,400 by Part-A score are shortlisted.
  • To qualify, a shortlisted candidate must also score at least 15 (Open), 13.5 (OBC-NCL/EWS) or 7.5 (SC/ST/PwD) out of 100 in Part-B.

  1. If allotted the first choice, candidates can accept (“freeze”) or decline the offer.
  2. If allotted a lower preference, candidates can accept (“freeze”) or opt for upward movement (“float”).
  3. Selecting “float” keeps the candidate eligible for higher preferences in later rounds; selecting “freeze” closes participation in further rounds. The “float” option stays active till the payment end date of Round IV.
  4. The seat acceptance fee is paid only once, even if a higher preference is allotted later through “float”.

Payment and Refund Policy

  • Payment: The full amount mentioned in the provisional allotment letter must be paid on accepting an offer. Pay well before the end time of the round.
  • Refund Policy: The seat acceptance fee is adjusted against institute fees at the time of joining. If a seat is declined after payment, the refund is as follows, after deducting seat cancellation and processing charges of ₹5,000:
    1. ₹60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates
    2. ₹15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates
  • Withdrawal Deadline for Refund: A refund is applicable only if the seat is withdrawn within the prescribed withdrawal windows, up to the completion of Round IV (July 07, 2027, 6:00 PM). Candidates cannot withdraw or decline an accepted seat after the announcement of the last round.

Yes. Eligible students from Mumbai can apply to all participating institutes that accept UCEED scores, subject to the admission criteria, rank, seat availability, and counselling process prescribed for the respective admission year.

The organising institute does not publish city-wise or state-wise admission statistics. While many students from Mumbai qualify each year, admissions depend on UCEED rank, institute preferences, seat availability, and counselling.

Sketching is highly beneficial for developing observation, visualisation, and design thinking skills. While the current UCEED exam pattern focuses on aptitude-based assessment, regular sketching strengthens creativity and supports future design education.

Many students begin preparation in Class 11 to build strong fundamentals in design aptitude, logical reasoning, creativity, and visualisation. However, motivated students can also prepare effectively by starting in Class 12 with a structured study plan.

Yes. Students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams can apply for UCEED if they fulfil the eligibility criteria specified for the admission year. However, the institutes accepting UCEED scores may have their own programme-specific eligibility requirements.

Apart from IIT Bombay, UCEED scores are accepted by participating institutes such as IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur for their Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programmes. Several other institutes also use UCEED scores as part of their admission process, subject to their individual admission policies.
